LLHRC Upland Test Premium Now Available
The premium is now available for the LLHRC 2012 Upland Hunt test, Feb. 18, 2012. The premium is available to download here. This is a Quad Upland with Marsh & Meadows HRC hosting Sunday's tests. Also, there is club training at Rocky Bay every saturday beginning December 31 until the test weekend. Check the Calendar for details.

Quad Upland Test with Marsh & Meadows
Land of Lakes HRC is teaming up with Marsh and Meadows HRC to offer a QUAD upland hunt on Feb 18-19, 2012 at Rocky Bay Hunt Club in Pine City! A premium will be available shortly. We are planning several club training days at Rocky Bay in December and January to help you get your dog ready. Check the Calendar for details.

LLHRC Fall Hunt a Success
Thanks to everyone that helped make our 2011 Regular fall hunt weekend a success! Our overall entries were lower than usual, but they were higher than the early entry numbers were indicating. This was in part due to the Fall Grand being the same weekend. At least four other HRC clubs had members in attendance. We had some club members achieve their first ever passes and others that earned titles. Thanks to all who helped out. It takes a lot of people putting in quite an effort to make it all come together. I want to let everyone who helped know we all greatly appreciate it because the only way the club can continue to put these tests on is if we have members like you that are willing to do the work they require. Thanks again and good luck this hunting season!

Sue Liehmon and Justin (UH HRCH MHR CH Gamecr Waterway Just Plain Ol' MH WDS) earned 1000 HRC points last weekend at NE Florida HRC. Way to go!

Upland Season!
Our Upland test was a success, 36 entries between the two tests and the weather was excellent. Thanks to all the members that came out and supported our club! Some members are still training and traveling to other tests - Horicon, Dakota, and Iowa. Contact the training coordinator for more info on training.
Also, for those that haven't renewed yet, membership renewals are due for 2011. See you in the field!

LLHRC is Growing
Training this weekend was well attended one of the smaller turnouts but enough members to make everthing work.
Thanks to Jeff Kolanski and Wade Samson on their effert to make sure we had the equipment needed.
We now have 57 members for 2009 that's fantasic. Seeing a lot new members at training and a lot of nice dogs remember training this weekend In Elk River. Also Monthly meeting at Gander Mountain on Tuesday.

Upland Test A Success - Memberships Renewals Due
Upland test was a success, 41 entry's and the weather was warm for once. Thanks to all the members that came out and supported our club!
20 entry's in Test #1 with 13 passes.
20 entry's in Test #2 with 15 passes.

Membership renewals are still coming in. We have 37 renewals so far. Our membership number was 58 members last year. If you haven't sent yours in you can print out the form and mail to Scott Krumm. <Download it here>

I talked to HRC field rep. Mike Botts and he cannot hold a Judges and Handlers Seminar up here this year since we held one last year and that two other clubs in our area are hosting them. If you are a Judge and need to attend a Judges Seminar this year I would recommend contacting Shane Olean at Dakota HRC.

2009 LLHRC Board Elections and Membership Renewals
Just a update our 2009 membership renewals will be mailed out soon included in that will be our election ballet for this next two year term. If would like to run for any of these positions please email me back and I will add your name to the ballet.

LLHRC Fall Regular Hunt Test Update
Just a reminder the Fall Hunt test is September 6th & 7th. We have added a second flight of Finished dogs due to the demand. We still have openings in Started and Seasoned. Many of our members have already volunteered their help but we need more of our members to respond to fill in where there is a need. LLHRC Spring Training seminar a huge success!
We had about 50 people in attendance to get some valuable training information and strategies presented by our own Greg Larson of Sundowner Retrievers. Poor weather and a forcast calling for snow kept us indoors for most of the day, but we had ample space for several demonstrations and lots of learning. The event was advertised at local sporting goods stores and on several online bulletin boards and we saw a great turnout of new folks to HRC. Many of them have since joined the club and been showing up for club training days to put to use the knowledge they learned.
